Feipel & Bechameil
Martine Feipel & Jean Bechameil are a prominent artist duo from Brussels whose work focuses on architecture and the complex relationship between humans and their environment. Their collaboration began in 2002 and has resulted in an impressive body of installation art that is recognised worldwide. The duo gained prominence when they represented Luxembourg at the Venice Biennale in 2011 with a striking plaster installation. Since then, they have participated in numerous international exhibitions and cultural events, continually exploring the boundaries of artistic expression. Feipel and Bechameil's work is characterised by the use of white plaster to create surreal spaces that invite the viewer to reflect on themes such as identity, space and power. They combine their skills in sculpture and staging to produce installations that are both formally and socially engaged.
