Wolfe De Roeck
The young Belgian artist Wolfe De Roeck explores the relationship between body and perception in her work, with movement as the central element. Her performances examine how norms, ideals, and expectations shape our perception of the body, and how this influences our experience of ourselves and of others. Her body becomes both instrument and medium: in fluid or abrupt movements, she transforms the space into a living canvas. Rituals, structures, and digital technologies intertwine with her actions, making the environment part of the performance. The viewer is invited to move along, to experience, and to look at the body and space with different eyes. Her art invites us to let go of familiar images and ideas and rediscover them, showing how movement and perception are constantly changing.
