What the body whispers - te bezoeken vanaf 5 december

In What the Body Whispers, two artistic voices come together in a joint quest to explore the mystery of the body. The human body reflects emotions, spirituality, and who we are. At the same time, it is also a tangible object, something that can be viewed, felt, and examined. The artists in this exhibition start from this realization. They explore the body, transform it, show what it can tell us, while part of it always remains mysteriously hidden.

Steven Peters Caraballo, a permanent artist at the gallery, is presenting his work in this exhibition for the third time. In his latest series, a continuation of earlier series, silent lips tell an intimate and meaningful story.

Wolfe De Roeck, a promising young talent, completes the duo. Her work focuses on the re-visualization of the body. She explores the boundary between body and object and constantly transforms it, creating new layers of meaning while leaving part of it abstract and open to interpretation.

Together, these artists create a dialogue in which the body is not only shown, but also whispers, is examined, and is constantly reinvented.

During the exhibition, there will also be a Wonderwall on display: a wall with a variety of smaller works by different artists, offering an additional perspective on the exhibition. Works by Ommery De Zutter, Hans Temmerman, Patrick Tresset, Nick Ervinck, Ronald A. Westershuis, and Steven Peters Caraballo will be on display.
